About

We built this because students deserved better than vague encouragement.

International students spend thousands on interview coaching and still walk into Bar Raiser screens not knowing which line of their answer would break the room. We've sat in those rooms. We know which line.

InterviewMentor is what we'd have wanted ten years ago: a voice-first mock interview that probes the way a real Bar Raiser does, scored against the real rubric, with a rewrite of your weakest moment in your own voice.

We won't pretend to be a human coach — we're not. But for the 50 reps you do alone before the round that matters, we'll be sharper, faster, and more honest than any cheap clone of ChatGPT pretending to interview you.

What we believe

Three principles that override default product instincts.

Honesty first

No flattery. No vague feedback. Ever.

Most prep tools optimise for "you did great". That doesn't help you fix the line that lost the room. Our verdict, our gauge, our rewrites — all calibrated to a real Bar Raiser bar.

The library is the moat

The rubric does the work — not the model.

Models change every six months. A calibrated rubric that has been tested against hundreds of real interviews is durable. We invest there.

Built for the 22-year-old

For the student practising at 11pm.

Hotel wifi. 5-year-old laptop. Interview at 9am. Every product decision starts there: latency, recovery, accent fairness, mobile-first, free that's actually useful.
