Why voice and not text chat?+
Real interviews are voice. The hesitations, the filler, the way you recover under pressure — those are the signals that get you hired or rejected. A text chat trains the wrong muscle.
How accurate is the scoring?+
Pass 1 maps your answer to a rubric calibrated against 200+ real Bar Raiser interviews. Pass 2 verifies every quote against your transcript before it's used in the report. We don't grade vibes; we grade evidence.
Will I get the same questions every time?+
No. Probes branch dynamically based on what you say. A weak answer on numbers triggers different probes than a weak answer on customer voice.
Why does the free interview only cover one dimension?+
A 40-minute multi-dimension interview costs us real money. Free covers Customer Obsession in eight minutes — enough to get a real verdict, not enough to bankrupt us. Pro covers all dimensions.
I'm an ESL speaker. Will I be penalised for accent?+
No. Our STT is tuned for accent diversity, and the evaluator rubric explicitly excludes accent and pronunciation from scoring. Content and structure are scored. How you sound is not.
My mic isn't great. Will that hurt my score?+
The voice-activity detector and STT can handle modest mic quality. If your audio is unusable, the report flags it instead of scoring you on broken transcripts.
Can I pause to think?+
Yes. The VAD is tuned with a generous redemption window — you can pause for a couple of seconds without Maya cutting you off. You can also pause the whole session from the controls in the top-right.
What happens to my voice recordings?+
Audio is processed in-flight for transcription, then discarded. Only your transcript is stored, server-side, encrypted at rest. No voice goes to any third-party telemetry.
How long do you keep my data?+
Free transcripts are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Paid users can keep their reports indefinitely or delete on demand. See the privacy page for full retention details.
Can I delete my data?+
Yes — one-click from your account page. We'll send you a confirmation when it's gone.
Do I need an account to start?+
No. Your first free interview doesn't require one. We'll ask for your email at the end of the session so we can send you the PDF report.
Can I get a refund?+
If a Pro session fails to deliver for technical reasons, you'll get an automatic refund. If you don't like the verdict — that means we did our job.
Do you offer discounts for students?+
The free tier is the student discount. We keep it free, useful, and free.
